Victory for Denise Lunsford and Albemarle County Citizens
CVUV-Endorsed Candidate Elected Commonwealth's Attorney

Support and educate victims and community members. Restore balance between victim’s rights and the rights of criminals. Ensure that fairness prevails in our criminal justice system.

There were needs to be addressed in Albemarle County.

Crime Victims United of Virginia responded by becoming involved in the Albemarle County Commonwealth’s Attorney race – we are proud to have been part of this effort, and grateful for the support we received along the way.

With your vote, we held criminal justice officials to the high standards of service we all deserve. We stood together to demand that our elected representatives are:

Responsive to the needs of crime victims
Held to the highest ethical standards of public office

Congratulations, Ms. Lunsford.

CVUV will continue to speak out for crime victims and address needs within the criminal justice system.

We look forward to many more victories along the way.

Post Election Press Conference by Jim Camblos and Related Media Coverage

On November 8, 2007 Jim Camblos held a post election press conference covered by various media outlets. The Hook (article 1, article 2) and The Daily Progress (article) both had post election reporting covering Camblos' press conference.

Reporters from The Hook newspaper contacted CVUV representatives prior to publishing post election reports in The Hook. CVUV also provided a written response to questions posed by Hook reporter Lindsay Barnes prior to his report.

CVUV's written response to The Hook can be found here.
